Lanie + Cam’s elopement in Boranup Forest.

Although the forest is huge, there’s a hidden little clearing that is one of my favourite spots for ceremonies.

It’s always cool to see couples’ light up as we drive deeper into the forest, down a narrow track and this magic clearing reveals itself.

The quiet of a smaller elopement is amazing, and a more relaxed pace means you can notice little details – the soft wind through the trees and the chirping of birds in the forest.

And if you get a touch of haze in the air, like Lanie + Cam did, there’s an epic golden light that filters through the trees.

We drifted out to the coast, through a moonscape of rocks at sunset.
